Snowboarding was first thought of by Dimitrije Milovich, A surfer who had the idea of riding of trays like the ones from a cafeteria. Since that time snowboarding popularity has been increasing rapidly especially since snowboarding was recognised as a sport. Snowboard boots are alot softer and more comfortable than ski boots, however their are alpine snowboard boots which have a hard outer core alot like ski boots. Snowboard bindings come in a bunch of different styles including strap in bindings, step in bindings, rear entry bindings, highback bindings and plate bindings. Each type of bindings has a its own pros and cons and you should choose your bindings type according to your riding style.
